Weep screeds are essential for directing trapped moisture out of the building envelope—but most rely on small keying holes and shrinkage cracks for drainage. The L & R Weep Screed™ features large slots designed to effectively drain incidental moisture and ventilate the rainscreen system. When paired with the Weep Screed Deflector™, it also helps divert moisture away from the foundation, offering enhanced protection.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Position correctly: Install 2 inches below the foundation plate line and a minimum of 4 inches above the ground (or at least 2 inches above paved areas).

Layer materials properly: Place WRB and the drainage plane inside the L & R Weep Screed™.

Apply the veneer: Install thin stone, thin brick, or stucco as required.

Ensure correct layering: WRB, Sure Cavity™ (or Gravity Cavity™), metal lath, and scratch coat must be placed inside the L & R Weep Screed™.
