MOST WEEP SCREEDS DON’T WEEP

Weep screeds are designed to drain trapped water from the exterior wall system—but most rely on small holes and shrinkage cracks for drainage. The L & R Weep Screed™, when paired with the Weep Screed Deflector™, features large slots to improve drainage and ventilation, ensuring a fully functional rainscreen system. Additionally, the Weep Screed Deflector™ diverts moisture away from the foundation while acting as a mechanical termite barrier.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

1. Position below the foundation plate line: Install at least 4 inches above the ground.
2. Extend onto the foundation: Run a minimum of 2 inches down onto the foundation.
3. Attach L & R Weep Screed™: Secure according to MTI installation guidelines.
4. Ensure proper layering: WRB, Sure Cavity® or Gravity Cavity™, metal lath, and scratch coat should be positioned inside the L & R Weep Screed™.
