The Hohmann & Barnard PTA 420 HS Partition Top Anchor is designed to provide lateral shear resistance at the top of masonry walls while permitting vertical deflection of the structure above without transferring compressive loads to the masonry wall below.

The clear butyrate tube and compressible polyethylene filler isolate the anchor rod from the surrounding mortar, allowing the anchor to move vertically. The PTA tube is placed over the #3 rebar anchor after it has been attached to concrete or structural steel. The vertical masonry joint is then filled with mortar, fully surrounding the tube.

PTA Series Anchors are suitable for construction involving either concrete or structural steel.
