SELF-ADHERING ELASTOMERIC TAPE FOR WATERPROOFING DETAILS AND TRANSITIONS
W. R. Meadows DETAIL STRIP is a rugged, self-adhering elastomeric tape designed to reinforce critical transitions and detailing areas in waterproofing applications. This 65 mil thick membrane is commonly used to seal butt joints, inside and outside corners, footing transitions, random cracks, and penetrations prior to the installation of primary waterproofing membranes.
Engineered for flexibility, durability, and long-term adhesion, DETAIL STRIP conforms easily to complex surfaces while maintaining strong tear resistance and low-temperature flexibility. Compatible with a wide range of W. R. Meadows waterproofing systems, it provides contractors with a fast, reliable solution for reinforcing vulnerable transition areas in below-grade waterproofing assemblies.

APPLICATIONS
SURFACE PREPARATION
Concrete should be cured a minimum of 72 hours and must be clean, dry, smooth, and free of voids or sharp protrusions. Repair spalled areas and fill voids prior to installation.
SURFACE CONDITIONING
Apply MEL-PRIME™, MEL-PRIME N.E., or MEL-PRIME W/B adhesive to prepared concrete surfaces using a roller, brush, or sprayer. Primer must be dry to the touch before installing DETAIL STRIP.
TEMPERATURE REQUIREMENTS
DETAIL STRIP may be applied at temperatures of 25°F (-4°C) or higher.
CORNER & TRANSITION INSTALLATION
The flexible membrane can be folded and shaped easily for inside corners, outside corners, and wall-to-footing transitions. Finish detailing areas with POINTING MASTIC where required.
