THIN-FILM LIQUID MEMBRANE FOR PERMEABLE AIR AND MOISTURE PROTECTION
AIR-SHIELD TMP is a water-based, single-component air and liquid moisture barrier that cures to form a seamless, elastomeric membrane. Designed to resist air leakage and block liquid water intrusion, it provides a durable, continuous drainage plane. This user-friendly, low-VOC barrier simplifies installation and detailing, offering excellent adhesion, flexibility, and UV stability for both new construction and retrofit applications. A black version is also available for rainscreen assemblies.
USES
- Air and liquid moisture barrier for cavity wall and masonry wall construction
- Suitable for new construction and retrofit applications
- Compatible with a variety of substrates including plywood, exterior gypsum sheathing, and CMU
- Black version ideal for exposed or rainscreen applications
FEATURES
- High permeability allows moisture vapor to pass through porous building materials
- Highly flexible; bridges cracks in the substrate
- UV stable – gray membrane can be exposed up to six months; black membrane can remain exposed indefinitely
- Single-component, water-based formula allows simple, safe application and easy cleanup
- Liquid-applied for a seamless, monolithic barrier over rough or smooth surfaces
- Sprayable with appropriately configured airless equipment for low-cost application
- Excellent adhesion, even to damp substrates
