COLD-WEATHER SELF-ADHERING MEMBRANE FOR AIR, VAPOR, AND MOISTURE PROTECTION
AIR-SHIELD LOW TEMP is a self-adhering air, vapor, and liquid moisture barrier designed for cold weather applications as part of a complete building envelope system. This roll-type membrane features a controlled thickness of approximately 40 mils and is constructed from cross-laminated polyethylene bonded to specially modified asphalt.
Engineered for durability and flexibility, AIR-SHIELD LOW TEMP adheres to most primed surfaces at temperatures as low as 20°F (-7°C). It forms a tough, long-lasting barrier that resists shrinking, sagging, cracking, and rotting while offering excellent puncture resistance during installation.
Its self-healing properties allow the membrane to recover from minor penetrations, such as fasteners, helping maintain a continuous protective barrier. Ideal for use as both a full-surface membrane and flashing in critical detail areas.
USES
AIR-SHIELD LOW TEMP is designed for a wide range of air, vapor, and moisture barrier applications, including:
- Cavity wall and masonry wall construction
- Precast and cast-in-place concrete
- Concrete block and masonry substrates
- Interior and exterior gypsum board
- Styrofoam, plywood, and OSB
- Primed steel, aluminum, and galvanized metal
Suitable for both primary wall systems and detailed transition areas requiring reliable protection against air and moisture infiltration.

SHELF LIFE / STORAGE

- Keep out of direct sunlight
- Do not double-stack pallets
- Keep away from sparks or open flames
- When stored outdoors, keep fully covered
