The PROSOCO Stitch-Tie Asymmetric 10 mm is a dual-diameter helical anchor designed to connect softer exterior masonry veneer to harder interior backup materials. Its smaller-diameter end embeds into the harder backup, while the 10 mm helical outer diameter engages the softer masonry veneer to provide optimum tension capacity across the connection.

This asymmetric design is especially useful when the density or hardness of a concrete backup restricts the installation of a standard full-diameter helical tie. It allows the backup and veneer portions of the connection to use appropriately sized pilot holes, helping prevent the loss of anchorage capacity that can occur when the veneer pilot hole is oversized.

Installation Recommendation

PROSOCO recommends completing an on-site mock-up before installation. The mock-up should be used to confirm whether the Stitch-Tie Asymmetric is appropriate and to establish the optimum pilot-hole diameter for both the veneer and backup materials.
