PorousPrep is a water-based sealer designed to seal the dry, cut edges of gypsum wallboards exposed in rough openings for windows and doors. It ensures that Joint & Seam Filler or FastFlash can be applied efficiently and smoothly. With its glue-like viscosity, PorousPrep is easy to apply, minimizing spills and rundown for clean and consistent results.

PorousPrep brushes on easily and dries in 30 to 60 minutes when applied to dry surfaces. Its glue-like consistency ensures minimal mess while sealing raw gypsum board edges for enhanced compatibility with R-Guard air barrier systems. PorousPrep complements conventional waterproofing and air barrier components, making it a versatile addition to a continuous building-wide air barrier system.
