RAINCAVITY COMPATIBLE VENTED TERMINATION
An air gap allows gravity to drain moisture from walls, but without proper termination, trapped water can lead to long-term damage. Vented MTI Edge Metal™ is specifically designed to fit the Sure Cavity® rainscreen system, featuring large slots that allow effective drainage and ventilation. Ideal for use in roof systems, thin veneers over cement board, and siding applications.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Position correctly: Install below the foundation plate line, ensuring at least 4 inches of clearance above the ground.

Secure to the foundation: Extend the edge metal down a minimum of 2 inches onto the foundation.

Layer materials properly: Place WRB and Sure Cavity® or Gravity Cavity™ drainage plane inside the Vented MTI Edge Metal™.

Roof applications: Can also be used as part of a roof drainage system beneath shingles. See HyperSpecs > Roofs for detailed installation guidelines.
