York 316 SA is a self-adhering stainless steel flashing and transition membrane manufactured from a flexible 2-mil sheet of Type 316 stainless steel, a butyl adhesive, and a siliconized release liner.

Designed for coastal and highly corrosive environments, York 316 SA provides greater corrosion resistance than the standard Type 304 version. Its self-adhering butyl backing creates a watertight bond without requiring primer, while the exposed stainless steel surface provides a reliable bonding surface for compatible sealants and building-envelope materials.
