York 304 Self-Adhering Stainless Steel Flexible Flashing is a high-performance flashing solution designed with a flexible 2 mil sheet of type 304 stainless steel, 8 mils of butyl adhesive, and a siliconized release liner. It offers superior puncture and tear resistance and remains stable and air-tight in extreme temperatures, from -70°F to 250°F. York 304 can be applied in temperatures ranging from 20°F to 170°F.
The bare stainless steel face of York 304 is compatible with a wide range of materials, including air barriers, sealants, insulations, below-grade waterproofing, and roofing membranes, making it an ideal transition flashing. It provides an excellent bond to substrates such as OSB, exterior gypsum, plywood, concrete, metals, and air barrier materials. Additionally, York 304 contributes toward LEED certification by satisfying EA Credit 1 (optimize energy performance) and EQ Credit 4.1 (low emitting materials).
