DRAIN BLOCK CORES & VENEER CAVITY
CMU and Jumbo Brick Veneers create two cavities where water can accumulate: in the block cores and the cavity between the veneer and the structural back-up wall. Core Cavity Weep™ features a unique design that drains both the cores and the wall cavity by creating drainage tunnels below the bed joint mortar directly on the flashing.

CORE CAVITY WEEP™ INSTALLATION
- Position Core Cavity Weep™ on the flashing with the material centered on the wall. Ensure intermittent legs extend into the wall cavity and to the exterior.
- Place a bed joint of mortar on Core Cavity Weep™ and lay masonry units following standard installation procedures.
- Tool joints and lightly score the legs at the face of the wall. Crack off the legs by pushing downward while the mortar is still plastic.
- Finish tool joint and brush the surface for a clean, professional appearance.

Weep legs: 2.5" (64 mm) wide, offset on each side of the continuous belt at 9.5" (241 mm) on center.
