GRAY LIQUID MEMBRANE FOR VAPOR-PERMEABLE AIR AND MOISTURE PROTECTION

AIR-SHIELD LMP is a water-based, single-component air and liquid moisture barrier that cures to form a seamless, elastomeric membrane. It provides superior resistance to air leakage while allowing vapor transmission, creating a durable drainage plane that prevents liquid water intrusion into substrates. Ideal for both new construction and retrofit applications, AIR-SHIELD LMP is user-friendly, safe to apply, and simplifies detailing with a monolithic, fully bonded membrane.

USES

• Air and liquid moisture barrier for cavity wall and masonry wall construction
• Suitable for new construction and retrofit applications
• Compatible with precast concrete, cast-in-place concrete, masonry (concrete block), interior and exterior gypsum board, rigid foam insulation, primed steel, and untreated plywood
• Ideal for integration into a variety of wall systems

• Resists mold and fungus growth
• Non-asphaltic; meets stringent fire code requirements
• High permeability allows moisture vapor transmission through porous building materials
• Low-temperature flexibility down to -20° F (-28° C)
• Phthalate-free and formulated with natural flame-resistant polymers for low flame spread and smoke development
• Highly flexible; bridges substrate cracks
• UV resistant – gray membrane can be exposed up to six months; black membrane ideal for long-term exposure
• Sprayable with properly configured airless equipment for low-cost application
• Excellent adhesion; bonds to damp surfaces and self-seals around nails and fasteners
• Quick-dry technology unique to the air barrier market simplifies installation
