ALUMINUM-FACED FLEXIBLE FLASHING FOR AIR, VAPOR, AND MOISTURE PROTECTION

AIR-SHIELD ALUMINUM FLASHING is a self-adhering, flexible membrane flashing with an aluminum facer, designed to act as an air, vapor, and liquid moisture barrier. This roll-type membrane is nominally 40 mils thick and provides reliable protection against water infiltration, helping to reduce the risk of rot and mold development in critical building areas.

Its aluminum-faced surface enhances sealant adhesion and provides extended UV resistance, making it ideal for exposed or detailed installations.

USES

AIR-SHIELD ALUMINUM FLASHING is designed for critical detail areas where water protection is essential, including:

• Window and door openings
• Deck-to-wall intersections
• Corner boards and wall-to-wall tie-ins
• Foundation sill plates
• Sheathing panel seams
• Under stucco finishes
• Masonry walls

It is suitable for a variety of substrates, including wood, concrete, concrete masonry units (CMU), and exterior gypsum sheathing.
