COLLECTS MORTAR IN BRICK CAVITY WALLS

The Trash Mortar Diverter™ (TMD 9548) is designed to collect and divert excess mortar from brick cavity walls during construction. This simple yet effective solution reduces cleanup time and prevents mortar from blocking weep holes or interfering with wall drainage.

TRASH MORTAR DIVERTER™ INSTALLATION

• Insert the Trash Mortar Diverter™ onto wall ties as the wall is being constructed.
• Point the V-shape downward, with the short leg facing the weather.
• Place the Trash Mortar Diverter™ in a “checkerboard” or stair-step pattern across the cavity.
• It can be field-fabricated using a common utility knife.
• Use in cavities that are 1.5″ or more in depth.

TRASH MORTAR DIVERTER™ SPECIFICATIONS

• Thickness: 0.024" (0.6 mm)
• Material: High-impact polystyrene
• Corrugations: 3/16" (4.8 mm) deep
• Shape: V-shaped with an 8.5" (229 mm) back leg and 5.5" (127 mm) front leg
• Weep Holes: 2.5" (64 mm) on center at the bottom of the "V" and 1" (25.4 mm) up each leg
