HENRY BLUESKIN® VP160 SELF-ADHERED WATER-RESISTIVE AIR BARRIER
Henry Blueskin® VP160 is a high-performance, vapor-permeable air barrier membrane designed to protect commercial wall assemblies from air and water infiltration while allowing walls to dry. This self-adhered membrane features an engineered film surface and patented permeable adhesive technology that creates a continuous, fully bonded barrier without the need for mechanical fasteners.
Blueskin VP160 is installed in a weatherboard fashion directly to wall sheathing behind exterior cladding, forming a durable water-resistive barrier and air control layer that improves overall building performance.
FEATURES
- Vapor permeable design – allows moisture vapor to escape while preventing liquid water intrusion
- Fully adhered membrane – eliminates pathways for water migration behind the barrier
- Continuous air barrier – helps improve thermal performance and building energy efficiency
- Split-back release liner – allows for fast, controlled installation on the jobsite
- No mechanical attachment required – self-adhered system simplifies installation and maintains membrane integrity
- Tested for commercial wall assemblies – compliant with NFPA 285 fire testing in various wall assemblies
APPLICATIONS
Blueskin VP160 is designed for commercial wall assemblies where a continuous water-resistive air barrier is required. It is typically installed over wall sheathing and behind exterior cladding systems.
Common applications include:
- full-wall air and water barrier installations
- rough openings and window flashing
- wall transitions and penetrations
- fenestration details
- transitions between building envelope materials
SIZES
- Roll Length: 100'
- Available Roll Widths:
- 6"
- 9"
- 48"
INSTALLATION
Blueskin VP160 is applied directly to approved wall substrates using a weatherboard method to ensure proper drainage. The membrane fully bonds to the substrate, creating a continuous plane of air and water protection behind exterior cladding systems.
