RUBBERIZED ASPHALT MASTIC DESIGNED FOR TERMINATIONS, PATCHES, AND DETAIL SEALING IN WATERPROOFING APPLICATIONS

GCP BITUTHENE® Mastic is a high-performance, rubberized asphalt-based sealant engineered to provide strong adhesion and reliable sealing in waterproofing systems. It is specifically designed to seal membrane terminations, patch edges, and overlap details to ensure a continuous moisture barrier.

With excellent adhesion to structural concrete, masonry, and wood substrates, BITUTHENE® Mastic is a dependable solution for both vertical and horizontal applications.

On vertical installations, mastic should be applied to both the top and bottom terminations. At the bottom edge of vertical applications, trowel upward and use liberally at membrane terminations.

APPLICATION GUIDELINES

Apply with a caulking gun or trowel.

• Standard bead: level to approximately 1/8" (3 mm) thickness and 1/2"–1" width

• Temporary cutoff: trowel to 0.060" (1.5 mm) thickness

• Membrane may be installed over thin cutoff the following day

Clean tools with mineral spirits after use. Follow all SDS and safety recommendations. Vapors from solvent-based products are harmful and flammable. Review product label and SDS prior to application.

COVERAGE

• 1 tube = approximately 65 linear feet
  (Based on 1/4" x 1/4" bead)
