APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Surfaces must be clean, dry, smooth, and free of voids, dust, loose material, frost, and contaminants. Fill voids and remove sharp protrusions before application. Concrete should be cured for at least 72 hours.
Metal surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of loose paint, rust, and other contaminants.
Apply MEL-PRIME evenly by brush or roller at approximately 250–300 square feet per gallon. Prime only the area that will be covered with membrane during the same working day. Areas not covered within 24 hours must be reprimed.
Allow the primer to dry until the surface becomes sticky or tacky before installing the membrane. Protect the prepared surface from dust, dirt, and other contaminants that could reduce adhesion.
STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE
Store indoors in the original, unopened container at temperatures between 40°F and 90°F (4°C and 32°C). When properly stored, MEL-PRIME has a shelf life of three years.
LIMITATIONS AND PRECAUTIONS
- Do not apply when rain is imminent.

- Do not allow the primer to puddle.
- Do not dilute—use as supplied.
- Apply at temperatures of 10°F (-12°C) or higher for maximum adhesion.
- Reapply if the membrane is not installed within 24 hours.
